Library Closed as per Provincial Mandate - Curbside Pick-Up Available

The library will be closed until further notice. Curbside Pick-Up is available.

1. When is the library closing?

As per the new restrictions announced by the Alberta Government, the Three Hills Library must close effective December 13, 2020 until further notice.

While the building will be closed to the public, library staff will be present to offer limited curbside pickup and answer any questions you might have by phone. You can reach library staff by phone at 403-443-2360 from January 5-21, 2021 during these operating hours:

• Tuesday: 11:00pm - 4:00pm
• Wednesday: 11:00pm - 4:00pm
• Thursday: 11:00pm - 4:00pm
• Friday: 11:00pm - 4:00pm

2.  Access & Service details:

 Facility:

• The library building will be closed to the public after Saturday, December 13, 2020, 3:00 pm.
• Public computers, photocopying or scanning services will not be available while the building is closed.

Borrowing and Returns:

• Inter-library delivery is expected to continue. 
• Request your materials in advance either by placing holds or calling ahead and staff will retrieve them for you. If you place a hold on an item, please wait for notification from us that your item is available before arranging a curbside pickup.
• Our exterior bookdrop will be open 24/7 to accept returns. Please do not return puzzles until the library reopens.

3. Can I return my library items?

Library items may be returned in our 24-hour exterior book drop. All items will be quarantined for 3 days before they are removed from your account as per Alberta Health Services guidelines. No overdue fines will be incurred during this quarantine period

4. What has happened to my holds that are available for pick up?

Holds can be picked up in person during operating hours using our Curbside Hold Pickup service.  Patrons can arrange curbside pickup during open hours by calling the library at 403-443-2360.
